Official Stalker of The Pioneer Woman

I admit it... I am an official stalker of Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman.

My day is completely incomplete unless I read an entry (or entries) from her mindbogglingly amazing blog. She is starting to become an intricate part of my life and I rid the day when she decides to end her successful blogging career. I know it's not going to happen though, because she's superwoman and she is going to live and blog forever. Muahahahahaha!

I blame her for my obsession with having to take great photographs. I blame her for the ridiculous acquired curiosity I now have for fresh calf nuts. Most of all, I blame her for having such a knack with words and story-telling that it's impossible not to be sucked, head first, into her wonderful world of ranch life. That is, if it really is as wonderful as she makes it out to be. Personally, I still have my doubts.

I can even go so far as to say that I wish to pack a bag, saddle up, and ride like the wind into Oklahoma just to spend a day with this amazing woman. I want to experience the ranch life and I am totally willing and able to help out those handsome, chap-wearing cowboys of hers too! And I am excellent with children Ree, so you won't have to worry about the little punks either. I'll bring some donuts!

In the mean time, however, I will have to satisfy my craving for cow poop and steak seasoned with Lawry's, by cooking some items from the menagerie of recipes she has posted over the past four years.

Simple Sesame Noodles... Need I say more?

I would eat these every day of the week if I didn't have to feed a fellow human being. I crave Chinese food on a weekly basis without the faintest idea why, so this is the perfect, make-at-home creation, minus all the unhealthiness found in Chinese take-out. Try these right now, dadgummit!!!

And I highly recommend that everyone visits The Pioneer Woman's website immediately. It's only a hop, skip, and a jump away! Try not to get too addicted!

Simple Sesame Noodles

Recipe adapted from The Pioneer Woman

2 servings of thin noodles, cooked and drained
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 ½ tsp. sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
1 ½ tsp. vinegar
2 ¼ tsp. toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp. canola oil
1 ½ tsp. hot water
1 whole green onion, sliced thin

Whisk all the ingredients (except the noodles and green onions) together in a bowl.
Taste and adjust ingredients as needed.
Pour the sauce over the warm noodles and toss to coat.
Sprinkle with the green onions and toss.
Serve in a bowl with chopsticks.
